The National Population
Commission, NPC has commenced recruiting ad hoc staff for its 2023 Population
and Housing Census exercise. The commission urged eligible candidates to
apply through the official web portal scheduled to be open between October
31st, 2022, and December 28th, 2022, and not through any third party, noting
that it plans to recruit 25 million ad-hoc staff for the 2023 population census
exercise.

Requirements For Application
Applicants who are
interested in the NPC ad hoc recruitment must have the following to be eligible
- Must be a Nigerian
- Must have a valid National Identification Number (NIN)
- Must have a functional e-mail account
- Must have a valid and functional phone number
- Must have an operational standard commercial bank account
- Must have a valid educational certificate which can be at least a Secondary certificate.
- He/she must be knowledgeable about the use of computers, tablets, and smartphones
How To Apply
Step One.
To apply, click here, which is the direct URL for registration on the official NPC portal. Once the link opens, click on “Start Application" and select "Start as Ad-hoc staff”. It will take you to a list of documents and requirements, eligible applicants should have before applying. Check them and proceed.

The next and also very important is to verify your NIN. type in your 11 digits NIN and click verify. once that is successful, then proceed with the application.

Once your NIN is verified
you will see a pop-up that looks like the one above and it will carry your
unique application ID. Write it down and go back and click on “Start Application" again as shown below, but this time
click on "Resume previous application", it will request the
application number you had written down and then proceed with filling in your
details. At some point, you will be asked to verify your phone number,
after putting in your correct phone number, click verify and click validate and
put in your correct e-mail and continue. Don't waste your time waiting for the
OTP because it will not come.

If you are filling the application form with a desktop or laptop ensure that it has a bright camera because you will need to capture your image at some point in the application. If your application is successful you will see something like the image below.
