MTN ICT and Business Skills Training
is a Youth Development initiative of MTN Nigeria that aims to equip young
entrepreneurs with tech-enabled skills to keep their small businesses relevant
and competitive. In this enlightening
programme, MTN Foundation in partnership with Microsoft and Meta will train and
equip 3000 youths that will participate in the ICT and Business Skills Training
that will help them Get Ahead in the Digital Economy with Equipment Grant Worth
N90 Million.

Benefits To Participants
The programme which will be delivered
through a 5-week intensive online training will include Master-classes from
key industry experts across the globe and will ensure that participants get world-class experience to manage and grow their businesses.
Participants will be given data for
the duration of the programme to support a seamless learning experience. Not
only that, the top 300 participants will be supported with an Equipment Grant
worth Ninety Million Naira [N90, 000,000]! Yes, you read that right.
Programme Background
In partnership with some of our
ecosystem partners – Oracle, KPMG, IBM, Digital Bridge Institute, CISCO,
Google, Meta, and Microsoft, 5 Phases of the ICT and Business Skills Training
have been implemented in 16 states since 2018.
They are Abia, Adamawa, Akwa-Ibom,
Anambra, Borno, Cross River, Imo, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kogi, Lagos,
Nasarawa, Oyo and Rivers. So far 4,036 young people have completed this
programme.
Phase 6 of the MTN Nigeria ICT and Business Skills Training
This is phase 6 of this noble initiative
by MTN Nigeria. In this 6th phase, 3000 youths will participate in the ICT and
Business Skills Training to be implemented in partnership with Microsoft and
Meta. It promises to be enlightening as:
- Microsoft will train participants on Entrepreneurship in the Digital Age, ICT for Business Success and their new Generative AI skills.
- Meta: will train participants on Skills to Build Brands and Grow Businesses Online through their Meta Boost for Small Business.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Age
To be eligible for this programme, the participant
must be a Nigerian [male or female] between the ages of 18 – 35 years old
2. Business
You must also own and manage a small
business that has been in operation for no longer than 2 years
3. Location
Must also own and manage a small
business located in one of the following states ONLY – Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti,
Kebbi, Niger, and Yobe state.
