The birth registration exercise is a collaborative effort between NPC, UNICEF, NYSC, and NYC and is aimed at registering a minimum of 12 million eligible children under 5 in Nigeria. The project, which is slated to cover 21 states, 456 local government areas (LGAs), and 4,978 wards across the nation will provide birth certificates containing the name and nationality of every Nigerian child. The 21 states include: Abia, Adamawa, Anambra, Bauchi, Benue, Borno, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Edo, Enugu, Gombe, Imo, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kogi, Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Rivers, and Sokoto.

What You Need to Know

It is important to take note of the fact that applicants who are interested in The 2023 NPC Birth Registration E-Recruitment whether as ad hoc staff or NYSC members must be;

1. Residents and present in any of the 21 states mentioned above at the time of application.

• First, we have said that you must be in any of the aforementioned 21 states
• Valid National Identification Number (NIN
• A camera-enabled device
• A valid phone number
• Valid educational certificate
• Valid e-mail account
• A valid Bank Account Number that aligns with the NIN information [only commercial banks are accepted]
• A minimum score of 50% on the assessment test [attempted once]

How to Apply for the NPC Birth Registration E-Recruitment

If you meet the requirements and are interested in participating, then follow these steps to apply:

• Enable the location on your camera-enabled device.
• Click to visit the application portal
• Click on Start Application.
• Select the option either to start as NYSC or Adhoc Staff.
• When asked for permission to use your device location, select “Allow”.
• Start the registration process by entering your NIN.
• Wait for the NIN portal to retrieve your NIN information
• Confirm is your correct NIN
• Then proceed to Facial capture, where you will capture and match your face
• Take your assessment test
• Then proceed to provide other information that will be requested
• Once the application is successfully completed,  you will receive an application ID. Record your Application

Application Deadline

As of the date of this publication, the NPC has not announced the deadline for the NPC Birth Registration E-Recruitment 2023.  However, interested applicants are advised to complete their application processes as soon as possible.
